Petrus Joannes Du Four (1721-?)

Petrus Joannes Du Four was born in Sint Laureins, Oost Vlaanderen, Belgium on 25 December 1721[i] and baptized the next day. He was the son of Judocus and Petronella (Bruneel) Du Four. He married three times. His first wife was Cecilia De Bonte whom he married before 1740. Cecilia died on 14 December 1748[ii] in Sint Laureins. He married second on 25 October 1749[iii] Isabella Clara Dinnewet who was born 2 December 1725[iv] in Sint Laureins and died 6 May 1760[v] in Sint-Jan-in-Eremo, Oost Vlaanderen, Belgium. His third wife was Maria Anna Goossens who he married on 22 November 1762[vi] in Sint Laureins.

Petrus Joannes, who apparently preferred to be called Jan since some records list him by this name was the youngest of 6 children and the only one who survived to adulthood. He was born the same month his father died. His mother, however, lived until at least 1762 since she was present at his third marriage.

iii.                 Joanna Theresia Du Four, b. and bap. 9 Oct 1751 in Sint Laureins..

iv.                 Levinus Du Four, b. and bap. 26 Sep 1753 and d. 23 Jan 1759. In Sint Laureins.

v.                   Franciscus Du Four, b. 12 Aug 1755 and bap. on 13 Aug in Sint Laureins.

vi.                 Judocus Du Four, b. and bap. on 7 Mar 1758 in Sint Laureins and d. 21 Sep 1803 in Sint-Jan-in-Eremo. He m. on 13 Jun 1789 in Sint-Jan-in-Eremo Helena Van Schoonacker, b. 18 Jul 1768 in Sint-Jan-in-Eremo and d. 25 Dec 1796 in Sint Laureins.

vii.               Petronella Du Four, b. and bap. 6 May 1760 and d. 8 May 1760 in Sint-Jan-in-Eremo.

viii.             Joanna Maria Du Four, b. 1762 and d. 1763.

ix.                 Joannes Henricus Du Four, b. and d. 1764
